1. Will there still be a Foundation?

a. Yes, your generosity will continue to help fund equipment, services, screenings and education that help our community lead a healthier life.
b. Past and future donations to the Foundation will remain local and continue to benefit the community.
c. Past and future donations to McLaren Port Huron will continue to be honored in the manner directed by our donors.
d. Community support will continue to be a critical contributor to the hospital’s success.  Some capital investments will always be out of reach without the community’s generosity.
e. We will continue to be a community hospital taking care of our community.
f. Thank you for your trust in us today and into the future.

2. What will be done with recent donations that are tied to certain services, equipment or other efforts?

a. We will continue to honor the gifts and memorials in the manner directed by our donors.  Funds donated for specific purposes will be used for the intended purpose, unless the donor agrees to an alternate use. 

3. What will happen to all the money currently in the Foundation?

a. Donations that have already been received and directed toward equipment or the recent capital campaign will continue to be used as directed by the donor.
b. All other past donations will continue to be honored in the manner requested by donors.
c. All donations will remain local and will be used to benefit the local community.

4. How can I support McLaren Port Huron in the future?  I don’t want my donations to leave the community.

a. All donations will remain local and will be used to benefit local community needs.

5. Why is fundraising so important now?

a. Now, more than ever, it’s important to invest in healthcare services that are local to our community.  As reimbursement declines and our population’s needs increase, gifts to our Foundation can continue to be earmarked to equipment / capital projects that support our community now.  Your gift will always benefit local individuals who need access to care in our community.
