McLaren Port Huron completed its Community Health Needs Assessment process in February 2012. The process included participation in a county-wide 2010 Community Health Assessment Profile (a/k/a Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey), along with the St. Clair County Health Department and various other community partners. In addition, vital health and demographic statistical information were compiled to supplement these findings.
In January 2012, a Director's Roundtable meeting was conducted to share community health information and discuss how it relates to community benefit activities; this focus group enabled McLaren Port Huron to harvest input from community leaders. The Community Health Needs Assessment and Action Plan have been accepted and approved by McLaren Port Huron's Board of Trustees. The associated materials are made widely available on this website.
