Port Huron Hospital was recognized by the governor of the State of Michigan when it received the 2003 Governor’s Award of Excellence for Improving Care in both the Emergency Department and the hospital settings for exceptional quality improvement in the clinical areas of Acute Myocardial Infarction (heart attack) and Heart Failure. This award is MPRO’s (Michigan’s Quality Improvement Organization) most prestigious award.

Partners at Heart is a shared commitment to education, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease by both hospitals. Success rates for Partners at Heart surgical patients are better than state and national rates, enabling residents of the area to access high-quality care close to home.
Cardiac Surgery: Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery and minimally invasive CABG, valve surgery.
Cardiac Electrophysiology: The diagnosis and treatment of patients with electrical or rhythm disorders of the heart.
Diagnostic Testing: EKGs, scans, echocardiograms, stress tests and cardiac catheterizations.
Interventional Cardiology: Angioplasty and stents.
Cardiac Rehabilitation: Inpatient cardiac rehab following surgery.
Heartlink: Cardiac education and support group for people and family members dealing with cardiac disease.
Partners at Heart Community Outreach: Education on a variety of cardiac health related topics and screening programs for cardiac risk.
Congestive Heart Failure Support Group: Education and support for people with congestive heart failure and their families.
