The School of Radiologic Technology is a 24-month, full time program sponsored by Port Huron Hospital. The program is designed to prepare students to become professional, competent radiographers. Radiographers, also referred to as radiologic technologists, work under the direction of radiologists, physicians qualified to order and or perform procedures and who specialize in the interpretation of the images obtained.

Education consists of formal classes, laboratories and clinical education. Following successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the national certifying examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Students generally spend half their day in the classroom and the other half in our busy Medical Imaging Department.
The senior students competed at the MSRT State Academic Competition. Ally took 1st and Becky took 5th place. This is the sixth time our radiography program won 1st place at MSRT! |
