Medical RecordsQ. Can I request copies of medical records or birth records over the telephone or internet?
A. Medical records may only be requested by the person they belong to or their legal representative. That individual must come in person to the medical records department and sign a release of information. That is the law. For more information, please call our Medical Records Department at 810.989.3142. Birth records may not be requested by anyone but the individual they belong to. Again, they must be requested in person and a release of information must be signed. Birth Certificates are not available from the Hospital. You must contact the St. Clair County County Clerks Office for information on obtaining copies of your birth certificate.

A. 55 Plus is located in the Erie Street building (sometines called the fountain building) on the corner of Kearney and Erie Streets, across from the hospital. There is convenient parking and it is handicap accessible.

Q. What do I wear to Physical Therapy?
A. The best types of clothing to wear to physical therapy are loose fitting pants and shirt. Tie style shoes are recommended for exercises.
Q. What types of conditions do you treat?
A. Sport & Spine physical therapists treat chronic and acute conditions. We address joint, spine, and muscle symptoms, including sprains and strains.
Q. What types of insurance do you accept?
A. We accept most insurance. However for specific insurance coverage for physical therapy please call your insurance company for details for your personal coverage.

A. The rates and charges for Port Huron Hospital are comparative for hospitals of the same size. Services provided through the lab, x-ray, pharmacy and other areas are 20% below rates in Southeastern Michigan - contributing to the increase in outpatient volume for the hospital.

A. Port Huron Hospital has partnered with Mercy Hospital since 1993 to provide comprehensive cardiac care services to residents of the Blue Water area. Port Huron Hospital has been the home base of the Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery components of the Partners at Heart program - the only Interventional and Cardiac Surgery programs in St. Clair County. We offer advanced treatment options that help us manage the full range of cardiac problems affecting our community.
