The State of Healthcare and the Effect on Small Businesses

Annual Golf Classic - Since 1980, the Annual Golf Classic, which is held on the 2nd Tuesday in July, has raised more than one million dollars net to support a wide variety of programs and services at Port Huron Hospital.

Festival of Trees - Thanks to the generous support of committee members, volunteers and sponsors, the Festival of Trees is a huge community event with over 12,000 participants every year! This event has raised over a million dollars to benefit Children’s Services of Port Huron Hospital. This enables Port Huron Hospital to continue providing the finest pediatric healthcare services and programs available for the children and families of our community.

Business Seminar - Held each fall. The purpose of the seminar is to help local employers to discover the benefits of creating a workplace that supports work life balance that will:

1. enhance recruitment of new employees
2. enhance retention of existing employees
3. reduce worksite accidents
4. reduce absenteeism

Planned Giving Seminars - several seminars held each year on estate planning, financial planning and tax-tips.
