The Emergency Center was expanded to 20,000 square feet – double the size of the previous department, in 2005. It features 24 private treatment rooms, bedside registration and a serene, calming, natural-light environment. The family lounge-atrium includes a separate area specifically designed for children and looks out onto an outdoor healing garden. Parking, including handicap designated spaces, is conveniently located near the Emergency Center entrance.
Technological advancements include an electronic patient tracking board, convenient in-department x-ray equipment and online computer access to patient information for Emergency Center and consulting physicians.
